Gothenburg

Hej!  We got an excellent night of sleep and are well on our way to recovery from jet lag.  We had an exciting and rewarding day between fellowshipping with our host family in Gothenburg (who requested we not release their name) and connecting with a church in Gothenburg that shares roots with our church, Bethlehem Baptist.

It was really a blessing to be able to learn about our hosts' successes and difficulties and what they hope to do going forward, and to pray for them in their endeavors.

This afternoon we got to meet with the pastor of Tabernaklet, a baptist church which was founded by F.O. Nilsson, who was present at the forming of Bethlehem.  Nilsson founded Tabernaklet in Gothenburg in 1861 and was pastor there for seven years before coming to America where he helped to start some churches including Bethlehem in 1871.  It was an exciting experience to create a real connection with our Swedish roots and hope to develop more of a relationship going forward.

Please continue to pray for rest and adjusting to Swedish time.  Also, we will be going to Tranås tomorrow so pray for safe travels.  Pray that we will be a light to the people that we come in contact with and that God's glory will made known.

I'm sure some more pictures will be going up soon :)

Hej då!
